I love cozy cakes, and this s’mores cake is truly the ultimate cozy cake!
It takes me straight back to making s’mores around a bonfire with toasted marshmallow between biscuits with a piece of dark chocolate.
That exact flavor is what I wanted to recreate with this cake, and I’m so happy with how this recipe turned out!
The toasted flavor from the brown butter and torched marshmallow, as well as the caramelized notes from the caramel chocolate, gives the cake that toasted s’mores flavor that’s perfectly balanced with the dark chocolate.
If you love s’mores, you have to try this one!
Happy baking <3

For extra guidance while baking, watch my step-by-step video tutorial, where I show you how to make the cake from start to finish:
Day 1
Prepare Brown Butter:
- Heat 200 g butter (the butter needed to make brown butter for the brown butter cake & chocolate ganache) in a medium-size pot until it melts. It will then sputter and start to foam.
- When the butter starts getting darker, stir until all the butter has a dark caramelized color and smells nutty. Make sure not to make it too dark (see my YouTube tutorial for reference), as this will give a bitter taste.
